On 28th January 2008 MySpace in conjunction with Penguin Books launched a competition to compose the official theme tune for the new James Bond audio book written by Sebastian Faulks called "Devil May Care". A new album by Ra is due for release sometime this year! Titled “Ra Rising” this is a compilation of unreleased solo tracks by Ra members and new versions of previously released music. I have two solo tracks - “Over the Edge” which was recorded during the “Convergence” album sessions in 1998 and was earmarked for inclusion on one of the Cyclops sampler CD’s but never made it. Also, a new edit of 1991’s “Eyes of Janus” featuring a lengthy guitar workout by myself.

7th April 2007

Towards the end of February 2007 DJ Hawke of Radio HFM in the UK asked me if I could come up with a theme tune for his Chill Out Sessions radio show and live DJ gigs. The resultant piece titled "Hawketronique" will have its first airing Saturday 7th April at 22.00 UK time http://www.harboroughfm.co.uk and can be heard opening DJ Hawkes show every Saturday after that.

The track is a mix of chilled out contemporary ambience and 1970's space rock and features synths, piano, echoing flutes, drum loops, etc and Linda gets to do a little "space whispering" as well!

22nd November 2006

There has been some reorganisation regarding the distribution and availability of my latest album THE WORLD OVER. Due to Tower Records/Bayside Distribution filing for Chapter 11 in the US a new distribution deal has been struck by Dreamfast Cinema whereby the album has now secured worldwide distribution rights with Super D/Phantom Distribution.

Consequently, the album will be in stores on both sides of the Atlantic and has a release date of January 9th 2007. In the meantime however, it's still available as a digital download from iTunes USA and other leading download sites. The album is also available NOW direct from Dreamfast Cinema with international shipping at no extra cost! http://www.afapress.com/Dreamfast/Hillman.html

All my four albums which were released on the UK Cyclops label (Griffin in the US) are still available (at a very good price too!) direct from Cyclops/GFT: http://www.gft-cyclops.co.uk/gft/gftframe.html

Kinesis & Eurock in the USA also stock some titles.

Also check out online stores such as Amazon etc. (worldwide) as they still carry a few titles but these are now in very short supply.

Ebay usually has new copies of some of my titles going EXTREMELY cheap!

There is now a Ra My Space space! Go to links for the link!

On the subject of Ra, a track called "Last Farewells" will be on the forthcoming Cyclops Sampler 6 CD.

WAKE

WAKE is the new album by a new progressive rock group (name pending). The group has grown from the solo projects of my long time friend and fellow Cyclops recording artist the guitarist and bassist Rob Andrews. Back in 2004, I was asked by Rob  to play keyboards and synths on a new project Rob was working on with the guitarist and keyboard player David Groves. David had previously worked with Rob on Rob's 2001 Cyclops Records album THE HOST.

Rob decided to expand the project to become a group based album with Rob, David & myself all contributing to the arranging and writing of the tracks. With Rob on bass, David on lead guitar and myself on keys the group became complete with the addition on drums of Dai Rees.

The resultant album WAKE has now been recorded and it will be released in early 2007. __________________________________________________________________________________

REMASTER PROJECT

I am undertaking the long overdue remastering to CD of my early cassette only albums. All titles will be available with the exception of the DISTANT HORIZONS compilation and ASHTAR.

FUTURE RELEASE

Following the release of 1999's CONVERGENCE album I composed  the material for a new solo album. This subsequently got put on the shelf owing to other projects. At some point in the not too distant future I hope to record this and it can be seen as continuing on from where CONVERGENCE left off as it will further pursue the more progressive rock elements in my music.
